Clip Stone ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by Mohammad Arman Siddiqui (Stoneforze), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. Clip Stone is designed from the ground up as a secure, local, offline-first clipboard manager. This Privacy Policy explains what information our application handles, how it is stored, and how it is secured.

2. Information We Handle

To provide its core functionality, Clip Stone handles the following information:

Clipboard Data: Text that you copy to your device's clipboard (which may include personal information, passwords, or sensitive data depending on what you copy).
App Preferences: Your settings, such as theme choice (light/dark mode) and notification preferences.

3. How Your Clips Are Stored (Local Only)

We do not collect, transmit, upload, or store your clipboard history on our servers.

All copied text, clip titles, pinned statuses, and timestamps are stored strictly locally in a private database on your physical device. Clip Stone uses Android's built-in application sandbox security to isolate this data from other applications.

Security limitation: While stored securely within the app sandbox, the data is unencrypted. We strongly recommend relying on your device's secure lock screen (PIN, password, or biometric) and promptly deleting highly sensitive information (like passwords) from your clip history after use.

4. Permissions & Device Access

Clip Stone requires the following permissions to function as intended:

Clipboard Access: Automatically reads your clipboard text when the app is active or when a copy action triggers it, in order to save it to your history.
Internet Access & Network State: Used exclusively to request and load advertisements via Google AdMob. Clip data is never transmitted over this connection.
Notifications (Android 13+): Used solely to send local, on-device reminders (e.g., reminding you to clear your clipboard periodically).
Vibrate: Used for haptic feedback during UI interactions.

5. Advertisements & Third-Party Services

To support the ongoing development of this free application, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Google AdMob may automatically collect certain device information, such as your IP address, device identifiers, and advertising ID, to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. We do not share your local clipboard data with Google AdMob or any other third party.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over its retention:

Manual Deletion: You can delete individual clips from within the app interface at any time.
Auto-Deletion: If enabled in Settings, the app will automatically delete unpinned clips after your configured time threshold.
Complete Erasure: Uninstalling the application or clearing the application data through Android system settings will permanently and irreversibly erase your entire clipboard history and preferences.

7. Children's Privacy

Clip Stone is a general utility application and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children over the internet, as the app operates locally. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about the app's usage, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any updates regarding our privacy practices.
