SpotKeeper is not a social network, public review platform, public map directory, or location tracking app. The app is designed for private personal use.

2. Information Stored by the App

SpotKeeper may store the information you manually add inside the app. This information is stored locally on your device to make the app work offline.

SpotKeeper is designed to avoid unnecessary data collection. For the core app experience, we do not collect or upload your personal place diary data to our servers.

4. App Permissions

SpotKeeper requests only the permissions needed for app functionality. Permissions may vary depending on Android version and app features enabled.

Photo Access

If you choose to add a photo to a saved place, the app may use Android's photo picker or gallery access so you can select an image. The selected image may be copied into the app's local storage for display inside SpotKeeper.

Internet Access

Internet access may be used to open map links, display ads if monetization is enabled, or open external links such as the Play Store, website, or privacy policy page.

Network State

Network state access may be used to check whether internet is available before opening online features such as map links or ads.

Location Permission

SpotKeeper does not require background location tracking. The MVP version is designed to work without location permission by allowing users to manually paste map links.

5. Local Storage and Export/Import

SpotKeeper stores your saved place data locally on your device using local storage such as SQLite and internal app storage. Photos selected by you may be stored in app-specific storage.

If the app provides export or import features, you are responsible for where you save, share, upload, or transfer exported files. Exported files may contain your saved place details, so keep them private and secure.

6. Advertising

SpotKeeper may use Google AdMob or similar advertising services if ads are enabled in the app. Ads help support free app availability.

Advertising providers may collect or use certain device, app, or advertising-related information according to their own privacy policies. This may include information such as device identifiers, ad interactions, approximate location, or diagnostic data depending on your device settings and applicable laws.

SpotKeeper does not share your saved place names, personal notes, photos, or map links with advertising providers for ad targeting.
